Sunlight, moisture and everyday use take a toll on boat seating. We assess leather and vinyl cushions, cabin furnishings and high-use seating to discuss suitable cosmetic restoration options and access to the vessel.

An indoor cabin seat and an exposed cockpit cushion live in different conditions. Tell us whether the upholstery is covered, stored indoors or exposed to weather. We assess the material and the intended use before suggesting a finish repair. A treatment suitable for a protected interior should not automatically be assumed suitable for outdoor seating.
Include photos of seams, cushion edges and any cracks alongside the main worn area. If the backing, foam or stitching is damaged, simply improving the color may not address the underlying problem. Widespread brittleness, water-related damage or extensive splitting may make replacement more practical than cosmetic restoration.
Send the marina or storage location, your ZIP code, vessel access rules and whether cushions can be removed. Access to power, shelter and an appropriate work area should be discussed during scoping. Weather and the finish’s return-to-use requirements can affect scheduling for exposed seating.

We assess both materials. Include any upholstery specifications you have and explain whether the area is exposed to sun or water.
An assessment is needed. A sound panel with localized wear is a different case from vinyl that is brittle or splitting across the cushion.
